Lakeview Archers are hosting the annual NZ Bowhunters Society Tournament – it is the 60th event – what a great milestone for this organisation.
They are hoping for a record turnout and are developing a couple of great courses especially for the event - lots of room for everyone to come and join in.
Lakeview Archers is an established field archery club based on 265 Horahora Road adjacent the Waikato River on the property of Don and Christine Finnegan. This is a central location with easy and quick access to various towns in the central Waikato including Tirau (10 mins), Matamata (20 mins), Cambridge (15 mins) and Hamilton City (35-45 minutes).
Lakeview Archers are renowned for hosting fun but challenging eventThry'll be using both silhouette and 3D animals to set out challenging hunting simulated courses.
The Cambridge Raceway will be the location for all of the meetings (AGM and Awards) and will be the base for all measuring and display of trophy heads and skins.
This year there are some great prizes up for grab – you don’t have to be a NZ Bowhunters Society member to compete at the event or win some of the prizes, but many of the prizes are limited to members.….. and don’t forget to sign up for the awards evening – which will be a time to put on your formal attire and join others in celebrating the achievements of the hunters throughout the year, and also the shooters who have ‘taken on’ the Lakeview Archers courses! You must be at the dinner to accept a prize if you name is drawn!
Registration for the event is on-line via the NZ Bowhunters website. There is also lots of information about the event:
